Grab your entire family and join us for our inaugural Sundog family adventure day as we summit Bald Mountain in Camden, complete with breathtaking views of Megunticook Lake and Penobscot Bay! We invite parents, kids, friends, and caregivers alike to unplug and connect; both with each other and the natural world.
Our guides will lead a fun, beginner-friendly hike through scenic local terrain, complete with free Sundog swag and plenty of time to explore, reflect, and play.
Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just getting started, this is a chance to experience the magic of fall in the Midcoast together, Sundog-style: joyful, inclusive, and rooted in belonging and connection.

THE DETAILS:
2.3 miles out & back
679 ft elevation gain
Approx. 2.5-3 hours
Directions: From Camden, take Route 1 south, then turn right onto John Street for 0.8 miles to Hosmer Pond Road on the left. Follow 3.5 miles to the preserve parking lot on the left, just past Gillette Road.
WHAT TO BRING:
Dress for weather (layers, etc.)
