MOUNTAIN BIKING

4th, 5th, & 6th Grades

5 Weeks of Mountain Biking

Culminating Overnight Adventure

Join us this fall for an unforgettable 5-weeks of mountain biking on our local trail systems. This program is designed to introduce participants to the basics of mountain biking, including riding techniques (effective bike position, safe climbing/descending, effective shifting and braking, etc.), routine maintenance, and other bike related skills. While we welcome all ability levels, no experience is necessary!

To facilitate a safe and enjoyable overnight, other skill development areas will build upon environmental awareness, leave no trace ethics, ecology, back-country cooking, and other essentials important for safety and fun on an overnight in the field.

In addition, each session is infused with our social-emotional learning curriculum, weaving together team building, group games, and guided reflection. With small group sizes, we’re able to foster meaningful relationships, strong group bonds, and a high instructor-to-student ratio that keeps learning personalized and engaging.

Lastly, as part of our commitment to community connection, one session is dedicated to service learning, with a hands-on project in partnership with a local like minded organization. Learn more about our service learning here.

Most importantly, this program is all about getting outside this Fall, having FUN, and making lasting memories!

Please note: Welcome email with detailed course information and complete schedule with daily locations/activity will be emailed one-week prior to program start after enrollment. Questions now? Don’t hesitate to reach out.
