To build character and develop outdoor skills by connecting youth with nature, peers and community.
We offer after school outdoor experiential education programs in the Fall, Winter, and Spring that get kids outside and unplugged, challenges them in healthy ways, and guides them through self-exploration and personal growth.
Warm days, cool evenings, and beautiful colors - fall is perfect for outdoor adventures. Learn new ways to enjoy being outside during locals’ favorite season with our fall programs.
If you love winter in Maine, this is your chance to learn some exciting new winter skills. And if you’re not so hot on the cold weather, try one of our winter programs - you are certain to warm up to the season.
Longer days and warmer weather mean it is time to get outside and enjoy your surroundings! Our spring programs take full advantage of what Mother Nature has to offer.

Our Core Values are the beliefs we hold strongly at SUNDOG. Each course’s curriculum is designed and grounded with these values in mind as they are the character traits we hope to foster in our participants.
Leadership
Leadership is an integral part of Sundog programs because it encompasses important skills to develop in adolescence. We believe leaders have integrity, compassion and empathy, are self-motivated and able to motivate others. Leaders have a sense of self-awareness and possess strong communication and listening skills. Sundog activities and curriculum intentionally foster these leadership qualities.
Community-Minded
Our goal is to connect Sundog students to our community in a meaningful way. We partner with like-minded local non-profits that enhance our community and enrich lives. Through exposure, service, and conversation, our students develop tolerance, empathy, and compassion empowering them to know they too can make a difference.
